Trouble connecting to shared folders on server and connecting to Internet.


Troubleshooting steps for future:

1. Power Cycle 24 Port Netgear Switch

2. Shutdown and restart server

3. Power Cycle the Red Watchguard Router (Sitting on top of server01)

4. Power Cycle 5 Port Netgear Switch (Sitting on top of red Watchguard Router)

5. Power Cycle Adtran Router (Mounted to the wall - This is the Century Link Router)


Other Things to Check:

1. Check the DHCP Server Service on Server01 - Restart this service if needed.

2. Open CMD on computer and ping 192.168.115.1 to see if the computer is talking to the router.

3. Unplug every piece of equipment except router and server and make sure the server can get on the internet

4. Assign a static IP address to desktop to test. (192.168.115.85 or something like that)
